Textbook Cycle K-12

Guidelines

1. The cycle is dependent on available funds.  If funds are sufficient, more than one area could order textbooks in a year.  If projected orders are more than available funds, ordering may be spread out over two or more years.

2. Teachers may opt out of ordering upon written request with reasons for doing so provided to the Staff Development and Curriculum Committee.  Teachers can choose what year they would prefer, and this would bump other areas up a year on the cycle.

3. The target cycle is 7 years.

4. Staff development funds are available to teachers adopting new textbooks.
