Senior Application Tips

q       Senior year courses must demonstrate academic rigor. If a senior drops an academic course, acceptance to a UW school may be rescinded when they receive your final transcript.

 

q       UW Application

o       Apply early

o       Proof essays before submitting

o       Be aware that schools use the essays to decide scholarships

o       ACT of 25+ often puts you in the running for academic scholarships

 

q       Be sure to visit campus

 

q       If your acceptance is delayed…

 

o       Send additional information as requested

o       Look for the terms “wait list” or “postponed”

o       Send letters of recommendation

o       Send transcript of first semester

 

q       Deposits are important for enrollment and housing.

 

q       Email communications are the primary contact, so…

 

o       Give the college the email you currently use

o       Check your email frequently

o       Be sure that the college address is not blocked or going to your junk mail folder.

 

q       Math!

o       Take as much as you can

o       Do well

o       Get prepared for your college math course
