Parents and Children

Course Objectives

Through readings, class notes, presentations, videos and observation of children we will work to develop an appreciation and understanding of each stage of child development from prenatal to age six.   In the course of this term, students we recognize the complexity and diversity of child development and parenting practices and appreciate that every child is an individual with unique traits, talents and potential.  We will develop the understanding and skills needed to foster the growth and development of every child.
