            MISSION STATEMENT:  The Prairie Farm School District in partnership with family and                 community provides educational experiences which foster academic excellence, lifelong            learning and citizenship.

Motion Alsbury, seconded by Bates to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION:

Announcement of Closed Session according to Sub-Chapter IV of Wis. Stats, 19.85(1)(b) for the purpose of discussing personnel matters, and 19.85(1)(c)for the purpose of discussing employment, promotion and compensation.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:  

Motion Moen, seconded by Miller to approve the Regular Board of Education Meeting minutes of October 17, 2011.   Motion carried.  6-0

APPROVAL OF YEARBOOK ADVISOR:

Motion Alsbury, seconded by Moen to approve hiring Connie Swanson as the Yearbook Advisor for the 2011 – 2012 school year.  Motion carried.  6-0

APPROVAL OF YOUTH OPTIONS REQUEST:

Motion Moen, seconded by Miller to approve the request for Youth Options for Spring Semester 2012 for Jon Larson.  Motion carried. 6-0

APPROVAL OF WASB ASSEMBLY DELEGATE:

Motion Husmann, seconded by Moen to appoint Nate Aslbury as the Assemble Delegate for the WASB Convention in January 2012.  Motion carried.  6-0

APPROVAL OF DONATIONS:

Motion Alsbury, seconded by Miller to approve the following donations:  From Mayo Clinic Health Systems, $2,000.00 for the Sign Project, and from Don Hauck, $62.43 for Students In Need fund.  Motion carried.  6-0

APPROVAL OF RESIGNATION COMMUNITY EDUCATION COORDINATOR:

Motion Bates, seconded by Husmann to approve Jessica Miller’s resignation as Community Education Coordinator.  Motion carried.  6-0

APPROVAL OF ESTABLISHING A STUDENT ORGANIZATION:

Motion Moen, seconded by Alsbury to establish the Ice Fishing Team as a Student Organization at Prairie Farm High School overseen by Wendy Dallmann.  Motion carried.  6-0

APPROVAL OF CHECKS

Motion Alsbury, seconded by Husmann to approve checks as presented: 

 Direct Deposit Vouchers # 5956 to # 6087 in the amount of $100,079.08 and payroll checks #

224644 to #224659 in the amount of $5,517.87, total Payroll of $116,650.95; and accounts

payable handwritten checks #18229 to #18257 and #18314 to #18331 in the amount of

$222,538.89 and November computer accounts payable listing in the amount of $51,745.00.

Note:  Prior months accounts payable listing in the amount of $41,627.52 were issued check numbers 18258 - 18313, and were issued on 10/18/11.  Motion carried.  5-0-1

REVIEW 2011 - 2012 BUDGET:

Mr. Broeren discussed the current budget.

PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE UPDATE:

Mr. Broeren and Ms. Bown updated the Board on the progress of the Personnel Management Committee.

WASB CONVENTION REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Early Bird registration is through December 14, 2012.  Currently, members attending will be Nate Alsbury and Craig Broeren.
