Description:
The Senior Mixed Chorus promotes
appreciation of all types of music.
Members of chorus rehearse daily.
The chorus performs in three or four concerts a year and may be called
upon to provide music for special community events. The main objective of chorus is the
enjoyment of music while learning vocal skills. Chorus students may compete individually or
in ensembles at the district and state solo/ensemble contests.
Students will also be chosen for
special events, based on the director’s discretion. Concert and other performance attendance
are required.

Description:
The band rehearses daily and
individuals are required to attend lessons when assigned. The band performs as a concert band, pep
band, and marching band at different times of the year. As members of the band, students are
eligible to participate in the district and state solo-ensemble contests and
students may be chosen for special events based on the discretion of the
director. Band members are expected to
do their best to competently perform all assigned music. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO
ATTEND ALL CONCERTS AND OTHER PERFORMANCES AS ASSIGNED BY THE BAND DIRECTOR. This is intended to be a full year course.

The course is intended for music
students interested in advanced work in the theory of music. The students
will learn scales, intervals, chords, and orchestration and will arrange,
compose or learn to conduct music for instruments and/or voices. Intended for band and choir students that
wish to study aspects of music other than performance.
