Hello Prairie Farm Parents, Students, and Community
I am so excited to be in the Prairie Farm area! I started my teaching career in Spring Valley where I taught for 11 years. I then moved to the northwest part of the state, teaching for 8 years in Mercer. I started here in Prairie Farm on September 13. I teach in Boyceville in the mornings and travel here to Prairie Farm each afternoon.
I have a daughter, Carrie, who was married in early September. She is a computer engineer. She and her new husband reside in Maple Grove, MN. My son, Johnathon, is a mechanic and lives in Foster, WI. Six siblings and my mom all reside in the Minneapolis area. One sister lives in Idaho. This position brings me closer to family and friends.
Professional development is important to me as I try to prepare your children for a world in which most of our jobs don’t yet exist. I earned my bachelor degree from Mankato State, MN and went on to earn my masters degree from UW-Eau Claire. Last year I challenged myself to look at my teaching practices and went on to earn my national board certification.
I love teaching and teaching for and about business is what our world consists of….lots and lots of businesses. We all are customers and we all have customers. The vocational areas are where students apply what they have learned in other courses. We support the core classes.
If you have any questions or concerns or would like to be a guest speaker in my classes, please contact me at extension 127. I look forward to meeting you.
