This course covers the basics of auto ownership, maintenance and repair. It helps prepare students to be better consumers and avoid automotive ripoffs and scams.

Classroom covers the systems/theories in engines and vehicles from bumper-to-bumper. Ownership basics are also explored.

Shop work includes learning safety checks, oil change, lube, cleaning, and minor repairs. Students will tear down an engine (time permitting.)

A trip (time permitting) to a Dealership service center will expose students to career possibilities in the automotive arena.
