About Me

I have been a teacher in the Prairie Farm School District for the past 22 years and feel proud to say that I am also a former graduate of Prairie Farm Schools.  As a life-long member of the community, I feel connected and motivated to make a difference in the lives of our students.

My husband, Steve, and I have lived in Prairie Farm since 1993.  We have enjoyed raising our daughters Alicia 26, and Molly 20, in this school system.  We know and value the benefits of a small school district and have been actively involved in the many activities and sports programs Prairie Farm has had to offer.

At school, my favorite thing to do is help kids learn to read and watch them grow and have fun learning how to think and learn.  With so many changes in technology, there are many more options available to help students be successful learners.  The Smartboard is proving to be a valuable tool as the students and I learn how to use it during instruction each day.

When I am not in school, I am happiest when I spend time with my family camping on Madeline Island, going fishing and kayaking in the Boundary Waters, playing softball, gardening, and playing with my granddaughter Olivia, who will turn two on October 8th.  When no one is around, I can spend hours reading a good book!
