School District of Prairie Farm

Relations with Social Service Agencies

The School District of Prairie Farm shall maintain a positive and active working relationship with social service agencies to promote the total well-being and development of students and employees in the District. In accommodating this relationship, the District may:

            - communicate as needed with social service agency representatives regarding Board policies and school rules which affect the relationship, and shall request information concerning any agency policies and procedures which may affect the schools.

            - schedule meetings with social service agency representative to discuss mutual concerns and plans of action, specifically as they relate to such issues as child abuse and neglect reporting, attendance and truancy, alcohol and other drug abuse, and suicide prevention and intervention.

            - invite social service agency representatives to the schools as resource speakers for assemblies and/or staff in-service sessions.
