School District of Prairie Farm
Public Conduct While on School Premises and at School Programs
The Board believes it has a duty to protect persons enjoying school activities and programs and using district sites and facilities from those whose actions the Board deems improper. Therefore, it shall be the policy of the Prairie Farm Board of Education that while a person is attending or performing in any function on properties owned, leased, rented or temporarily utilized by the district, he/she shall not:
1. Distribute, consume or otherwise use or collaborate with any other person to distribute, consume or otherwise use alcoholic beverages or controlled substances.
2. Use profane, abusive or defamatory language, issue threats, commit violent acts or commit acts which are potentially harmful, disruptive or destructive.
Any person involved in any of the above acts or in any acts which have or may have the potential for disturbing or disrupting an activity in any way shall be advised by supervisory personnel to cease and desist from such acts. Visitors to school facilities and grounds during regular operating hours must report to the office to obtain a visitors pass.
Refusal to cooperate with the instructions of supervisory personnel shall constitute grounds for immediate removal from the premises. The assistance of law enforcement officials may be sought in those instances where an individual(s) refuses to comply with this policy or with other reasonable requests consistent with its intent.
