723.2 Rule

Fire Drill Procedures
- Every month during the school year, the administration shall conduct a fire drill.
- Once each year, the administration will work with the local fire chief in fire drill planning and observing a fire drill.
- Staff and students shall leave their work and class locations and follow directions posted by the doors of each room. Teachers shall remain with their students as they evacuate the building.
- During the fire alarm period, officials will check all restrooms and unused rooms.
- Doors shall be closed after leaving the rooms.
- All fire alarm boxes and related equipment shall be tested periodically and maintained in proper working order.
- In April of each year, a tornado drill may be substituted for a fire drill.
