Annual Audit
An audit of the accounts of the District shall be made annually by an independent certified public accountant selected by the Board. The audit shall be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and legal requirements. The audit shall include all funds over which the Board has direct or supervisory control.
The Board may periodically seek bids for the purpose of a financial audit. A multi- year contract with fees established may be awarded to an accounting firm experienced inmunicipal accounting.
The audit shall be conducted at the close of the fiscal year. The accountant shall certify the results and conclusions of the audit and the Bookkeeper shall be
responsible for filing copies of the audit with the proper authorities as prescribed by law.
The Bookkeeper shall ensure the certified statement as to the financial
condition of the district is published in the district’s annual meeting report.
