Financial Reports and Statements

 

The administration and bookkeeper shall be responsible for administering a school financial record system that should provide financial and related information relative to school district operations to the Board, administrators, the public, auditors, local, state and federal authorities, district employees and other interested parties. This system shall be accurate and consistent with generally accepted accounting principals.

 

The administration and bookkeeper shall be responsible for maintaining the financial books and records of the district in an auditable form. The office shall prepare or cause to be prepared all fiscal reports, keep necessary records to control adequately the financial transactions of the district and prepare financial statements.

 

The Board shall receive a monthly summary of the most current general ledger. Such other financial records or reports as may be determined by the District Administrator, bookkeeper or Board shall be presented periodically.

 

The administration and bookkeeper shall file all fiscal reports and statements with local, state or federal agencies as may be required.

 

All financial reports and statements shall be prepared in accordance with established guidelines.
