Professional Staff Resignation

A written notice of resignation shall be filed with the District Administrator at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the resignation. 

If a teacher resigns after July 1st, there will be a liquidated damages payment of $350.00. The payment may be waived at the discretion of the board, and will not apply if the resignation is caused by death or transfer of a spouse, or serious illness in the family. The board may deduct the $350.00 from the wages of the departing teacher.

Vacancies which occur on or after August 1st shall not be subject to the provisions of Article V (Placement)
