Equal Opportunity Employment
It is the policy of the Prairie Farm School District that no person shall be denied admission to any public school in this district or be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, pupil service, recreational, or other program or activity because of the person's sex, race, national origin, religion, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability or handicap as required by s. 118.13, Wis. Stats. This policy also prohibits discrimination as defined by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race and national origin), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sexual discrimination), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
In accordance with federal regulations and in accordance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Law, the Prairie Farm School district does not discriminate in employment practices. This nondiscrimination policy pertains to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or handicap.
The Prairie Farm School District shall post copies of state and federal equal employment regulations in each school. Employment handbooks shall also contain information on nondiscrimination and complaint procedures.
The District encourages informal resolution of complaints under these policies. A formal complaint resolution procedure is available, however, to address allegations of violations of the policy in the School District.
