Criminal Information Records Check-Rule

1. When a newly Wisconsin licensed teacher is offered a position, it is accepted that a background check is not required since the State of Wisconsin conducts a thorough background check prior to license issuance.

2.  When a non-teaching staff member is offered a position, the District shall use information from the Wisconsin Courts System: Wisconsin Circuit Court Access (WCCA) information system.

3.  For prospective out of state job candidates, the Wisconsin Department of Justice and/or other state Justice systems shall be used for the background check.
