Criminal Information Records Check

Upon offer of employment to any person for a paid position with the Prairie Farm School District, the Administration will conduct a criminal information records check through the Wisconsin Department of Justice and/or other appropriate agencies.

If the criminal information records check confirms a pending charge which the candidate acknowledged on the application form, a determination shall be made as to whether the circumstances of the pending charge are substantially related to the nature of the particular position for which the candidate has applied.  If the pending charge is related, the application will be suspended, or the applicant will be asked to reapply when the pending charge has been resolved.

If the criminal information records check confirms a conviction which the candidate acknowledged on the application form, a determination shall be made whether or not to reject the application based on consideration of the circumstances of the conviction and whether the circumstances substantially relate to the nature of the particular position for which the candidate has applied.

If the criminal information records check confirms a conviction which the candidate failed to acknowledge on the application form, the offer of employment shall be revoked and the candidate shall lose employment opportunities with the School District of Prairie Farm.
