Married Students and School-Age Parents

Students shall have an equal opportunity to participate in student activities and programs without regard to pregnancy, marital or parental status.

In accordance with state law, the Board shall make available to any school-age parent in the district program modifications and services that will enable the student to continue his/her education. School-age parent includes any person under the age of twenty-one

(21) who is not a high school graduate and is a parent, an expectant parent or a person who has been pregnant within the immediately preceding 120 days.

The Board and/or school employees shall not, in any manner, compel a pregnant student to withdraw from her regular education program.
