RELEASED TIME FOR STUDENTS

All students required by law to be in school attendance shall be expected to be in fulltime attendance and to carry at least the minimum class load as defined by the Board.

Students may be released during the school day to participate in Board approved activities in accordance with established procedures. Students shall not be released for work, except as related to teacher or school-supervised work experience programs.

No student may be released from school prior to the end of the school day, or into any person’s custody, without the direct prior approval and knowledge of the principal, or his/her designee. Parent or guardian permission and/or notification shall be required in accordance with established guidelines.
