Co-Curricular and Athletic Activities Participation
The School District of Prairie Farm sponsors and encourages student participation in a variety of co-curricular activities as a means of providing opportunities for personal growth, skill development, socialization, creativity, and competitive experience.
The athletic program should be designed to give many students an opportunity to developtheir interests, attitudes and skills for future years without damaging their academic development. Sports competition should provide a healthful, enjoyable experiencewhereby the emotional, mental, social and physical development of young men andwomen can be fully achieved. Sportsmanship should always be of prime importance.
Athletes must comply with all rules and regulations established by the Wisconsin
Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) and the Prairie Farm School Board. The Prairie Farm School District Athletic Code Handbook shall be approved by the Board on an annual basis and shall be part official Board policy.
The District shall be a member of the WIAA and compete in the Lakeland Athletic Conference.
The School District of Prairie Farm shall not discriminate in student participation in athletic programs or activities, standards and rule of behavior, disciplinary actions or facilities usage on the basis of sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability. Discrimination complaints shall be processed in accordance with established procedures.
