Academic Achievement Letter

Beginning in the freshman year, each student has the opportunity to earn an academic letter.  Earning an academic letter is subject to the following criteria:

  1. Reach and maintain a grade point average of 3.50 for two consecutive semesters.
  2. Maintain good school attendance.
  3. Must never have been suspended from school due to behavior problems during the semesters of consideration.

If the student reaches the above criteria, the Gifted and Talented coordinator will evaluate and award the student an academic letter.  Should a student fall below the above standards they would not continue to be awarded the letter.

If a student earns an Academic letter, Forensics letter, or a Music letter, they may purchase a school letter jacket.  The above letters may be displayed on the letter jacket.  Students who continue to earn the Academic letter beyond the initial award will receive a bar in following years.
