343.1 Rule

Correspondence Courses
Correspondence
course opportunities shall be made available for students in the High
School. Students may or may not be responsible for payment of the
course.
- The
correspondence course is necessary for a student to take because the
student needs to make up credit: The student will be responsible for
payment of the course.
- The student has been identified as an at risk student: The District shall pay for the costs of the correspondence course.
- The
student has been identified as a one who would benefit by taking a
correspondence course, and the course offering is not available
on-line, through distance learning or by a local course offering. The
District shall pay for the costs of the correspondence course. Note:
This usually is for students who have schedule conflicts.
- The correspondence course is approved by the principal, school counselor as well as the student’s parent(s) and/or guardian.
