Job Title

Coordinator of Community Education

Community minded, human interaction skills, communication skills, organizational skills, budgeting skills, community knowledge and awareness. 

Reports to:

District Administrator; Community Education Advisory Council

Primary goal of  the Coordinator of Community Education

Coordinate the use of facilities and resources of the School District of Prairie Farm to meet the needs and interests of people of all ages in the area served by the School District. Direct and promote community education programs that benefit the people of  the District.

Position  Requirements and Responsibilities

1. Specific Duties

 

 

  1. Administer school board policies concerning the use of school facilities with respect to cost, maintenance, and materials. 
  2. Coordinate facility usage.
  3. Develop a budget and set fees for committee approval.
  4. Identify and meet community education needs.
  5. Develop a schedule of classes and course catalog.
  6. Coordinate and develop community education programs as citizen’s needs arise.
  7. Coordinate class registration.
  8. Develop and maintain a roster of instructors.
  9. Keep inventory of course enrollments and instructors.
  10. Make staff and course recommendations.
  11. Conduct orientation programs for community education instructors.
  12. Supervise and evaluate community education programming.

 

2.Administrative Duties

  1. Be a member of the Community Education Advisory Council and make full use of the Advisory Council standing committees.
  2. Attend all meetings as requested by the District Administrator.
  3. Understand and work within all polices of the School District of Prairie Farm.
  4. Produce an end-of-year report.
  5. Provide the Board of Education an annual report of program activities.
  6.  Maintain contact with area Directors of Community Education and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
  7. Coordinate fund raising projects and activities as needed.
  8. Assume other duties and responsibilities as designated by the district administrator.
