School Board Officer Duties
A. Officers
1. The Board of Education shall consist of president,vice president, a clerk, a treasurer and three directors.
2. The board shall hold an organizational meeting immediately following the Spring Election per statutory requirement and select officers of the board for a one-year term.
B. Duties
1. President: The president shall have the usual powers according to Chapter 120.15 of Wisconsin Statutes. The president shall appoint all committees unless otherwise directed by the board.
2. Vice President: This position is established and serves in the event that the president is absent or unable to act.
3. Treasurer: The treasurer shall perform duties as described in 120.16 of state statutes in conjunction with school board procedures for so doing.
4. Clerk: The clerk shall keep records of all meetings, post all legal notices, prepare and sign all legal documents, and perform duties of the president and the vice president when both are absent and duties designated by Chapter 120.17 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
C. Removal of Officer
Any officer of the board may be removed for cause from the office held on the board by a vote of 5 members.
